Tennyson

This little boy has been so excited for his birthday. He started asking when his next birthday was several months ago. I hope it was all he wanted it to be.
Tennyson asked that his cake look like Christmas so we put little gingerbread and snowman marshmallow's around it and sprinkles on top for the festive colors.

I think that Tennyson liked his cake so much because I let him decorate it with me. He really likes to make things pretty.
The writing on top of the cake is done in a black sparkle gel to add to the pretty.
Speaking of pretty... One of Tennyson's favorite things to do is dress his baby sister. He loves to make her "look beautiful like a princess." So on his birthday I let him look through her cloths and pick out whatever he wanted her to wear for his party. He chose the frilliest pink dress we had :)
Eden didn't mind. She loves dresses. As usual she is looking at it to see how pretty it is. Of course her favorite thing lately to do with dresses is....
To see if they taste pretty too.:D

I love this picture of Eden because it shows those wonderful dark eyelashes.
Here is Tennyson with all his birthday loot. One of his favorite things is cereal, but we don't get very many sugary cereals so for his birthday half of his presents where different types of fun cereal.
It's a present from Grandma and Grandpa! He's been waiting for days to open it since it came in the mail.
Awesome it's just like the ones he has at his school. Both he and the twins have had a blast with this puzzle game.
We are so grateful to have this sweet little boy in our lives. Tennyson's sense of humor is developing and it has been so much fun to see it emerge. He makes us laugh so hard with his off the wall and ironic statements. Tennyson's imagination is amazing and he can come up with the most interesting games. We Love you Tennyson and we're so glad your part of our family. Happy Birthday!

That's what they do...

So a couple of weeks ago Donovan and I were on Skype talking to his parents when we realized that the three younger boys had been to cooperative. As I came out of the computer room I saw all three of them standing on the counter. So Mom this is what they do when we're not looking.
We've felt pretty lucky that we are still to poor to have kitchen chairs because that means we can still fold up our folding chairs and put them in the closet. Unfortunately this day we missed the step stool as you can see.
Yep that's right. You better all get down before you break something...like your heads. Got to love parenting twins and their side kick.

Hey Hottie

So this picture was actually taken last summer and in Donovan's defense the wind was blowing a little bit to puff up the shirt. Plus he was relaxing his back quite a bit because he had been working in the yard and he was tired. All that being said this is the before picture. Before what you ask...Well the miraculous transformation. Through diet and exercise Donovan has lost 18 lbs. It may not seem like much to you, but he has also gained muscle in that time. As we all know muscle weighs more then fat. So I would say that he has lost probably 25 lbs of fat and gained 7 lbs of muscle thus far. What does that equal out to.
A whole lot of hotness... Yep that's my good lookin' man.
And he has every right to be proud of it. I wish these pictures would have been better, but we kept getting a shadow on the wall behind him so it doesn't show as much his trim definition.
Donovan could hardly fit in this brown suit last summer and now he has to wear a belt to keep the pants on. He's probably lost a good four inches off his waist. Which is great for him...not so good for his cloths which now drowned him, but I'm not complaining ;)

girlie girl

A couple of weeks ago Eden started to take interest in her cloths. I've got a kick out of watching her to see if she likes them or not.
This is usually what I see if she likes them.
Apparently she loved this outfit because she couldn't stop looking at it. She seems to have a preference to dresses for another reason. She loves to pull the fabric up and put it in her mouth. I'll have to teach her that taste testing is for food, but she's got the right idea about looking at.
