rolling around
So today I picked some of the last raspberries of the season. They were delicious and so I wanted to share the few I got off our bushes with our kids. I gave a few to Tenny and then went out back to give some to Trey, who had gone to ask the next door neighbor a question. As I walked down the steps of our deck I accidentally missed the last step, landed on my flip flop clad right foot, and rolled it. This comes at a really bad time because tomorrow is the church chili cook-off and trunk-or-treat and I'm the ward activity chairman. Wonderful huh! At least it didn't break. I can still put weight on it but it is significantly swollen. oh well I guess I can go as an invalid for Halloween.

Stubborn Two
Tonight for family home evening we sang five little monkeys teasing Mr Alligator. When we got down to two little monkey Tennyson was trying to hold up two fingers but his other two fingers kept creeping up after a while he said " no, no! stop it!" and tried pushing the other two fingers down. I couldn't help but laugh at him reprimanding his fingers.

Picture fall in St. Louis
So yesterday we went to the Temple in the morning and the colors there were fantastic. We got some really beautiful pictures. I love fall! It's my favorite time of year. I like that the weather gets cooler but not bitter cold like winter. I love the colors and smells. I think when God made fall he became a master painter. Anyway I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Father of four leg exercises
Trey and Tenny like to get on Daddy's legs and have him lift and throw them. So here are some of the pictures of them flying... and falling. I guess you could also consider it as a grad student multi-tasking: play with kids, exercise, and hold babies so mommy can get some things done(like go to the bathroom;)

Cuties and craziness
So I have a ton of pictures and a couple stories I want to share so here goes. First off I made banana bread last night and apparently forgot to put everything away. So this is what I woke up to.
Also last night we got our first big smile from Enoch. It was so cute. Daddy gave him a nuzzle and kiss and he got a big grin on his face. We think he got tickled by daddy's wiskers. Sorry, didn't catch it on camera but here are some cute Daddy and Enoch pictures. Elijah has been smiling for about a week now. His smile is shy and a little harder to see but he does it more often. We got a little clip of it on video but my blog doesn't seem to want to except it so sorry again but I do have some adorable pics of Elijah also. The other thing Elijah likes to do is stick out his tongue. He's been doing it since he was a couple weeks old but I finally caught it on camera. Also to all family... Does anyone know where these toes came from. If you notice he has one toe on each foot that is slightly behind the others. The Doctor says that this is hereditary, but neither Donovan or I have it. So we're on the search for who ever has toes that look similar. Then we'll know which one of us carries the gene.
Anyway both Babies are some where between eleven and twelve pounds right now and rapidly growing. It's so sad that they only stay small for such a little time. Anyway hope you all enjoy the pics.

Many adventures
Tromping around in rain boots must be exausting because he turned around and fell asleep on the back of his chair while eating his lunch. Then today before mommy and daddy woke up Trey unlocked the back door and both boys slipped out to play in the back yard. Talk about your heart attacks upon waking up to hear your two year old nocking on the front door and your five year old(who snuck back in) saying "go around to the back Tenny I can't get the front door unlocked. " Anyway the adventures don't stop there. When I came into the kitchen this is what I found that the resident two year old had done.
So there are the adventures in the life a two year old. And thats just one of the four.

Whats with the clocks?
So I decided an explaination is needed of the clocks on the side of the blog. Since we live in Illinois it's an hour ahead of most of our family that live in Utah. So we have clocks for both states. Those are the lower two clocks. Then Donovan has a brother who lives in Ohio so thats the upper right hand clock. To top it off on the upper right is the time in the Philipines where my parents are currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They will be there for 18 months and since I can never remember the time difference I have placed a reference to it on my blog. Anyway I'd like to give a shout out to my wonderful Parents who are doing what they know is right. Love You both and be careful.

I got Tagged

1. I'm the fourth person among my sisters and sister-in-laws to get pregnant with twins.
2. I always say "I have a question?" before I ask a question. I guess subconciously I think I have to announce to the person that what I'm going to say actually is a question. The funny thing is that I notice my boys do the same thing.
3. I like pickle sandwiches. Here's how you make them. You take spread miricle whip or mayonaise or both on both slices of bread then place sliced pickles and chedder cheese on your sandwich. It's that simple. I know some of you are saying how gross, but don't knock it until you've tried it. My dad use to call them pregnant lady sandwiches. The funny thing is that I can't stand pickles when I'm pregnant. So there was no pickle sandwiches for me.
4. I really don't like to wear shoes. My Dad use to call me Daisy May because I ran around without shoes so much. The funny thing is that I have about 15 pairs of shoes. This is because if I have to wear shoes then I like them to be unique or just plain fabulous. Like for my sister-in-laws wedding I wore silver shoes that had colorful flickering lights in clear heals. I love those shoes. I think the other reason I have so many shoes is that I don't get rid of anything usable and since I don't wear shoes very often my shoes last a long time. I still have shoes from my junior year in high school.
5. I say Fa-vor-Rite instead of Fa-vor-rit like the rest of the world does. I never noticed this was different until my husband pointed it out to me. I just pronounce it like it's spelled. The rest of the world just doesn't know how to read. :)
6. I have had three different pregnancies and deliveries, at three different hospitals, in three different towns using seven different doctors and in two different states. Impressive huh!
7. I like to eat sour patch kids when I go to the movie theater. The funny thing is that I only eat sour patch kids at the theater. I don't get popcorn or a drink. So if I get anything it's just sour patch kids. This tradition started in high school. I still remember that I always got sour patch kids and TKE always got cookie dough chunks.
Well that's the low down on my weirdness. Hope it helps your day go better knowing your a lot more normal then me. Now for the next seven victims-

Mr. Incredible

For those of you who are wondering what in the world we are doing in Illinios I thought I'd enlighten you. My wonderful, awesome, and amazing husband is getting his Ph.D. in history. He hopes some day to be one of those crazy history professors who has the ability to put an entire class of college freshman to sleep. We have two more years here and then it's off to where ever the job takes us (as long as it doesn't take us deep south, since my husband studies African American history and their history down there wasn't so pleasant.)

Tenny's hat
Them are keepers!
So we went into an appointment yesterday for the twins and had them weighted. When the twins were born Enoch weighted 5lb 14oz and Elijah weighted 6lb 13oz. Well at six weeks they weighted (drum roll please) 9lb 12oz and 10lb 1oz. Does mama know how to grow her boys or what! Donovan said he knows now what we need to do to grow a good garden, just have me nurse it for a few weeks. Maybe we'd get a 10 lb watermelon. Anyway here is some pics of my chunky boys.

Top 5 Reasons I started this blog
5. The classic " come on everybodies doing it" got me. I'm ashamed to admit it but I'm just following the crowd. Donovan's sisters started the trend so I decided to jump on the Blog Train.
4. I have cute kids and I wanted to show them off. ;)
3. The internet is so much cheeper then snail mailing everyone.
2. It's one of the best ways I know of the keep family up to date with our lives when we live so far away. I have loved being able to watch Brielle and Ariah grow up via blogs over the past six months.
1. I spend about 50% of my day nursing and burping babies. So since I'm sitting here anyway might as well do something with my free hand.
So there they are just in case anyone was dieing to know.:)
