white (day after) Christmas

I'm dreaming of a white day after Christmas, just like the ones I've rarely known...
 Since living in the midwest.

Eden's first real experience with snow. She liked it for the first half hour, but then it got cold and she was ready to come in. It was the same the next day, but by the third day she didn't even want to go out and play in it. I guess she's a warm weather girl like her Mama.
Trey on the other had would play for hours upon hours outside. He would only come in to dry out his gloves and change into dry socks and then he'd be off again. Funny coming from a kid who is cold all the time and has to have three blankets on his bed at night.

The snow lasted about two weeks and then was gone. Which was plenty long for me. It was nice though having a little snow this year.

Christmas Eve Pajamas

We have a tradition that we adopted from my sister. Every Christmas Eve our children get to open one present. And every Christmas Eve it's the same thing...Pajamas!

I think they liked them. Of course maybe they were just overly excited about getting to see lights, or singing Christmas carols...Or of course there is that whole Santa, presents, Christmas in the morning thing. :)

Polkadots

so in November our Relief Society held a service auction and I won some great bows that someone had made. I was so excited because I already had a polkadot shirt that I knew would look great with them. On Christmas eve I put Eden in them and started snapping pictures. I ended up with these beautiful pictures.

My, but I'm in trouble when this little beauty gets to dating age. I'm so glad she'll have four big brothers to watch her back. :)

The mega fort

The week before Christmas the kids turned Eden's room into a full fort. It was quite the production.

They even pulled in the lamp to give better light and broom handles to hold up their roof.
It was like a blast from my past when I use to build forts with my nieces and nephews. One of the fun memories from childhood relived through my kids.
