Me and the Muppets
So I have some severe cabin fever. Infact if any of you have seen muppet treasure island I think I'm almost there with them. For those of you who haven't seen it well your just missing out. So because of this cabin fever I have decided to brighten up my blog. So welcome to the colorful delight of bright flowers and...aaa.. Snow. Ok I need to find some pictures that do not have snow in them. That just really clashes with the springy theme. Anyway hope you all enjoy. Oh and thanks Shar for inspiring me to change my background.

six star hotel
So when I was in the hospital(one of the many times) with the twins my doctor joked that it was a six star hotel because what other place do they wait on you hand and foot and charge you an arm and a leg. Anyway I said I think it's a six star hotel because they make you see six stars while your there. So why am I telling you this story months later... well Tennyson got to spend a night in the six star hotel. He got a combination strep and pneumonia that landed him a night in the hospital. Needless to say that he was more then happy to come home today. Although he still sounds a bit wheezy, at least now he can breath. Hopefully we won't have anymore visits this year. I'm all six starred out.

Catch up
So here are all the things that have been happening in the last few weeks. First we had a big snow and Ice storm that left us with six inches of snow on top of six inches of ice balls. It was quite the experience seeing/hearing all those little ice balls fall.

Trey with our snowman adventurer... who has really long arms.
Tennyson saying its really cold. He's not use to this. Infact this might have been his first experience really playing in the snow.
So a couple months ago my sister-in-law did a blog about how they land in nap time. So this is how Elijah landed. He had a really bad cold so he had to sleep in his car seat. Apparently he didn't like the idea and wiggled until he could lay on the actual seat. Needless to say the stage of putting them in a car seat when they have a cold is now over.
Here is Enoch's favorite thing to do. Chew! He likes to chew on anything. Of course Elijah likes this to but Enoch especially likes to chew on his exersaucer.
Here is their five month old pictures. When they got these bears they were way smaller then the bears. Now look at them.

Here is Sunday's sundaes. We do this most Sundays so it's become kind of like a tradition.
I Think this bite of ice cream is twice the size of Tenny's mouth.
First experience with Carrots. Enoch liked them at first but then decided they weren't that great so he started spitting. Then when I took the picture he started grabbing for the camera. I snapped this picture just as he was reaching for it.
So that is our last couple of weeks in a nut shell. How Was yours?

My Wife is the Type of Spouse that I Want to Be
Those of you who have read our blog for any amount of time know that my wife is very lauditory of me. So I wanted to take a few minutes to return the favor. In her last post she wrote that I try to be a better husband because I know that she thinks the world of me. That is part of it, but I also try to be better everyday because of how good she is to me. My wife is a smart, gifted, funny, beautiful woman who could easily have made different choices and not had to deal with many of the trials that we face in our life together. However, she chose me (another one of her great characteristics, her excellent judge of character!) and has willingly let me drag her across the country and through the depths of college induced debt all so that I can fulfill my dream of being paid slightly above minimum wage to put a room full of college students to sleep three times a week!.
One of her great strengths compliments one of my weaknesses. I unfortunately tend to be an out of sight, out of contact sort of person. I tend to not work hard enough at keeping up with friends when they, or we, move. She on the other hand has maintained these friendships, and family relationships through space and time. She is the one that regularly keeps everybody updated on the blog and on the phone. I am pretty good with talking to people when I have them on the phone but I rarely think to call them.
I have been so proud of Teah for the past few months. As the twins are growing and sleeeping for longer periods of time, she has tried more and more to let me sleep when they wake up, and take care of them herself. I know that I don't thank her nearly enough for that. She feels bad sometimes because it means that she is too tired during the day to do some of the chores around the house. However, when you think that at this age, it is very normal for babies to wake up twice a night, then take that and multiply it by two then on good nights she probably gets up about four times (they are still not completely synchronized, you would think that they should know by now that they should only wake up when the other does!) Then when you factor in nights like last night when one of them was not feeling well, well, Teah does not sleep much most nights. I usually don't find out about this until the morning. She usually does it all by herself and lets me sleep. Well, I could go on, but for now, I have a wife who is sleeping and a baby who is hungry and a wife who is sleeping. I will go and get him some cereal so I can try to be the superspouse who my wife thinks that I am meanwhile, we all know who the lucky one really is (cue the song, "She Thinks She Needs Me.")

Most wonderful Husband in the world!
I have the most wonderful Husband in the world. I know this is a bold statement, but it's true. I've often wondered if He's wonderful because I think he is...or I think He is because He's wonderful. I think they are one in the same. I think a lot of people have great spouses, but because they don't think they do then they don't see what they have. I also think that because my Husband knows I think the world of Him, it makes Him try harder to do better everyday. Maybe that's why I think he is so wonderful. I know that every day He will do His best to be the best Husband he can be... And that's what makes him wonderful!

Peeping Pirate
So every night Tennyson comes up with a million and one reasons not to go to bed. Then after all his reasons are exhausted, and his parents too, he resorts to sneaking out of bed. So last night on one of these said sneaks he decided to try a new tactic. It went something like this.
Daddy is sitting at the table when he notices the door open a little wider. Slowly a little toy pirate head peeps out from behind the door then goes back. Then it slowly peeps out again and soon the full body is in full view then it goes back behind the door. Meanwhile, Daddy is trying to keep from splitting a gut. The two year old holding the pirate behind the door thinks "hum... if Daddy isn't saying anything about the pirate coming around the door then the coast must be clear." So slowly the two year old's head peeps around the door. "Tennyson, Get back in bed!" The door quickly closes.
"Ah man busted!"
I guess you can only get out of bed if your a pirate.
Peek-a-boo Baby
Elijah didn't really like the peek-a-boo game, but he sure loved mommy singing it to him.
