Saturday chores

So a couple weeks ago as one of our Saturday chores the boys had to help Daddy clean up the back yard. It wasn't all work though. We made time for a little play. They raked all the leaves into one gigantic pile and then took turns either jumping or being tossed into them.

Even the babies joined into the fun. They especially liked to crawl through the pile and watch it spread.

About a week later I was talking to a friend when she told me that she had seen us playing that day. She was at the park across the street with her kids. She commented that it was like watching one of those commercials the church puts on that in the end say's "isn't it about...Time".
I laughed and said I was glad that someone had a peek into our lives on a good day and not on the days when we are constantly reprimanding our children. I do think that this day was very memorable and that it will probably go down as being one of the best days of my life. Not because it was a big event, but because it was a day we took a little time from the daily chores to make it special.
