San Diego

Man I got a good lookin' Husband! Donovan is actually standing on the balcony of our hotel room. It overlooks the pools and the San Diego bay.

I guess his wife isn't lookin' to shabby herself. You can see the sliding glass door in the background that leads to our balcony. The room also had a couch and coffee table, king size bed, and full size desk with a pull out table. This is probably the nicest place we will ever stay at.
This little village was right by our hotel just a minutes walk down the board walk. It had all kinds of cute little shops and restaurants.

Sunset from our balcony.
The court yard from our balcony. The glass building is a restaurant. Every night they shut off the water fall and then would turn it on first thing in the morning again. It's a very ingenuous way of blocking out the noise from the city.

I'm actually behind the waterfall in this picture. There was a nice little bench that you could just sit and listen to the water.
I loved these flowers. It was so nice to be able to see greenery in January. I was pretty sick of brown and cold.

The Hotel was actually also a marina so they had a little bit of land that jutted out around the boats to keep them safe from to big of waves. It was made into a park like area so you could walk out and around. Our room was on the fourth floor of the left hand tower.

We had a marvolous time. Someday I hope to go back when we have more time to explore together. There was just so much to see and do. I loved being in the warm spring like air. It was such a shock to come back to Illinois.(which got it's first snow while we were gone) My friend will be sending me more pictures of the time we spent in old town. I hope to post those when I get a chance. A big Thank You again to Donovan's Mom and Dad for making this possible by taking care of the kids. We love You!
