Our two oldest boys have decided that the addition of the twins in their lives these past few months means this is a good time to develop problems sleeping through the night. This leads to a lot of crazy nights. Last night was one of them. I am not exactly sure, due to sleepy haziness that the following is right minute for minute. Also, in our house to try and maintain sanity we have decided that Teah will take care of the twins when they wake up (because I don't have the right equipment) and I will handle any situations with the older boys. I am sure that the people started out in the beds that I say, and ended up in the beds that I say.
8:30-Tennyson falls asleep in the car on the way home from scouts. When we get home we put him in his bed.
9:30-Treytion goes to sleep in his bed. The twins have fallen asleep before nursing very much. Teah puts them in their bed.
9:45-Elijah wakes back up. He needs to be changed and he is still hungry because he had been too tired to nurse much earlier.
9:45-11:00 Elijah is just happy to be up and staring at his parents who stare back through bloodshot eyes. He eats some more(both nursing and baby food) and Mommy and Daddy go through their bedtime routine.
11:00 Elijah goes back to sleep Mommy and Daddy try to get ready and get in bed as quickly as they can. At this point Everybody is still in their own bed.
11:30- Enoch wakes up. He is hungry because he fell asleep before he could nurse very much. Mommy gets up and nurses him and tries to get him back to sleep.
11:45- Mommy gets Enoch back to sleep and lays down herself.
12:30- Daddy bolts out of bed because he hears somebody in the house screaming. He goes into the bathroom and there is Tennyson standing in the middle of room disoriented and crying. Treytion is standing right by him bleary eyed and confused. Apparently Tennyson had to go to the bathroom and had walked into the bathroom and then forgot what to do next. Daddy asks Trey if he is okay and then sends him back to bed. Daddy helps Tennyson go to the bathroom and then gets him back to bed. Everybody is still in their own bed.
Sometime between 12:30 and 2:30- Enoch wakes back up because he is hungry again. Mommy gets up and pulls Enoch into bed with Mommy and Daddy.
2:30ish-Daddy is again woken up as Tennyson tries his best to slide in the tiny crack between Mommy and Daddy. Daddy picks Tenny up and tells him that he needs to sleep in his own bed and carries him back to his room. In Tennyson's room Daddy discovers that Treytion has now moved into Tennyson's bed to sleep. Daddy tells Tenny that Trey is in his bed and so he will be safe.
Around 3:45- Elijah wakes up and wants to nurse. Mommy pulls Elijah into bed with Daddy, Enoch and Mommy. Mommy and Daddy's bed from left to right now consists of Daddy, Enoch in the middle, Mommy, Elijah with a crib pressed up against the side of the bed to keep Elijah from rolling off. We are now all in two beds: parents and twins in one bed and Treytion and Tenny in Tenny's bed.
4:00- Mommy puts Elijah back in his bed but can't quite get Enoch back to his bed without him waking up.
Around 5:45- Enoch wakes up and wants to nurse again, apparently milk just isn't keeping his little tummy full. Well, this time he does not want to go back to sleep and so he thinks that it would be fun to scream in Daddy's ear and lovingly try to pull on his hair while occasionally kicking him in the small of the back.
6:00- Elijah wakes up and wants to nurse.
6:15-Daddy and Mommy finally decide that Enoch is not going to go back to sleep and so Daddy gets up with him to see if his diaper needs to be changed. It does and so Daddy changes him. Daddy comes back to his bedroom to find that Mommy is now cuddled up to Tennyson with Elijah on the other side. There is no room on the bed for Daddy. he accepts his fate and walks towards the boys room. Treytion has by now woken up and so Daddy lays Enoch down on Treytion's bed beside Trey (Treytion is sleeping with his mattress on the floor right now because he doesn't like the top bunk), and Daddy lays down on Tenny's bed and tries to get some more sleep till he absolutely has to get up in an hour. Final tally: Treytion and Enoch are laying on Treytion's bed although Treytion spent most of the night on Tenny's bed and Enoch eventually ends up sleeping in the swing. Tennyson after multiple tries ended up sleeping on Mommy and Daddy's bed. Daddy ended up in Tennyson's bed and Mommy, Tenny and Elijah ended up in Mommy and Daddy's bed. And this is a true and faithful narrative, by a sleep deprived Daddy, of our wonderful game of musical beds.

5. At dinner a week ago we were talking about playing basketball and Trey asked if Grandpa Weight ever played basketball with Donovan. Donovan said yes but that he couldn't play anymore because he had hip surgery. He then told Trey about the metal hip that was put in. Trey paused for a minute after Donovan got done and then said " Is Grandpa half Robot?"(5/31/09)
4. Treytion and I (Dad)were discussing how smart he is and he told me that Mallory, his friend at school, had asked him how come he was so much smarter than her. I asked him what he told her and he said, "I told her that that was just the way God made me."(approx. 3/09)
3. So a couple of days ago, I (Dad)was talking to Treytion about his imaginary friend Hannum. She is a girl that Trey made up several years ago and I thought that the name was so original that I have kept asking him about Hannum and what she is doing. Anyhow we were talking about age and the following exchange occured. Trey said, "Well in Hannumland (the place that Hannum lives) Hannum is like 19,900 years old." "Wow, she must be really old!" I said. "Naw, in Hannumland the number of your age gets smaller as you get older," Trey responded. I countered, "Then how old would I be in Hannumland?" "Oh," Trey said nonchalantly, "about 10." 2. Trey knocked on the door to the computer room today and so I knocked back. Then he knocked again so I knocked back. Then he said "stop it Dad." So I opened the door and said "I can't believe you thought I was Dad." and so he said " Oh I thought you were Dad cuz he's the funny one." There you have it I'm not the funny one but I got a good laugh off of his frankness. (10/20/08)

7. Tennyson came into Daddy carrying a bottle of Italian salad dressing spritz and said, "Daddy, Enoch just spritzed my bed." Daddy grabbed the spritz bottle and went to find Enoch and asked Enoch if he spritzed the bed. Enoch said that he did. Daddy told Enoch that he should not spritz the bed. Tennyson added, "Yea Enoch we don't spritz the bed, because then that makes the bed taste good, and we don't eat beds!! (3/27/2011)
6. Tennyson apparently things "Gas" is pronounced "Grass" which can be quite disturbing when you don't know what he is talking about and he's saying "Grass" while pointing to his bottom.lol(3/5/09)

3. reading over the other two entries is funny because Enoch now absolutely loves all bugs and wants us to be kind to them. In fact one day he came in carrying a wasp and said look Mom it's nice. (I had told him not to touch them because they would hurt him) I panicked a little and then told him to go put the wasp outside. I went with him and had him put the wasp in the grass. Then I told him to leave him there. Enoch was so sad about the idea of leaving him that when I turned my back he reached down to pick it up again. This time the wasp was not quite so nice, but Enoch after his initial yelp tried not to show that he was hurt. He's a tough guy like that and doesn't like to it when he's proved wrong
2. Enoch has developed a phobia of bees. However, the funny thing is that anything that flies and is obviously not a bird is a bee. For the past few months we have been dealing with tiny moths in the house. Every time Enoch would see a moth he would scream bee and become hysterical until someone dispatched of he moth. We have spent alot of time telling him that they are moths not bees and that they are nice. We must be making some progress because the other day Enoch saw a moth and said, "MMMMOOOOTTTHHHHH!!! THEY ARE NICE! KILL HIM DAD! (03/11)
1. Enoch now say's mo'm and Da'd. He also is trying to copy his brothers down but only gets da out. He can point to what ever he wants though so that helps. (9/09)

During lunch today Elijah pushed away his soup without touching it and said "I don't like soup," Daddy said, "Well then I guess that I will just eat yours all gone," Elijah screamed, "NO!" and pulled to bowl back. Daddy said, "But I love soup." Elijah retorted, "NO IIII love soup!" and proceeded to eat.
