As many of you know this past month one of my best friends lost their house to a freak fire when the house next to theirs exploded. They lost everything because their rental agreement was such that they were not allowed to get renters insurance.

The Schuler's are one of the best families I know and since the loss of there house it seems like almost every imaginable trial has come their way. Please if you have not already helped consider helping in this way.

A 5k race is being held to raise money for the Schulers. It will be Saturday, November 5 at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Park in Carbondale. Please join us for the fun event!

If you would like to participate in the race, you can register at harvestmoon5k.blogspot.com. You can run or walk. We will have great dri-fit shirts, yummy snacks, and some awesome items that we will hold a drawing for after the race (that all participants will be entered in).

Even if you don't want to run or walk, come out and support those who are running! It will be a fun event and we would love to have as many people there to support the Schulers as possible. Also, if you don't want to participate in the race but would like to donate, there is a link on the right sidebar of the race website where you can do so. Please spread the word and invite friends, coworkers, neighbors to participate as well.
