Easter fun

Here's my clean happy boys waiting to go outside for their Easter egg hunt. Look Elijah is finally getting some hair on the top of his head. Up until now his Eye lashes have been getting all the hair growth.

On the other had Enoch's head of hair is flourishing. So is his ability to pose. He's so funny when we pull out the camera. He's more then happy to flash you lots of fun smiles.
The older boys are patiently... or not so patiently waiting by the back door. Our rule was that we went out youngest to oldest. This way the little ones get some hunting time without having them stolen from under their noses. We were surprised to find though that the older boys didn't even think twice about doing that. They were actually some of the biggest help in pointing out eggs to the babies.
Elijah took to Easter egg hunting like a fish to water. He got really good at spotting the little chocolate eggs in the grass.
I always thought pinwheels were the funnest part of Easter so I made it a goal when we started having kids to make sure that they got pin wheels at Easter. There has been no end of fun with them.
Enoch found his first egg and immediately opened it. Upon finding it filled with whopper eggs he stuffed all four in his mouth. Which is quite a feat considering he has on of the smallest mouths of all my kids. Just ask our dentist. Enoch is already suffering from his teeth crowding and he only has eight.
When I went to take a picture of his chipmunk cheeks he immediately tried to say cheese and this was the result. This is one of my favorite pictures from Easter. I'm thinking it's going to have to go in his wedding video.
You can't hardly see it but there is an egg in a knot way up in the tree. If you look real close you may be able to see the pink spot about two feet above Trey's head.
After taking this picture the two thoughts that came to mind were "When did my little boy get so old?" and "Man he's a good looking kid. He's going to be heart breaker when he grows up."
I got them both to say cheese but neither one is looking at the camera. I don't know how well you can see but they are no long clean. The both have chocolate and dirt all over their faces and cloths. THIS is why Mommy gets before pictures :).
After the hunt was done Daddy and the boys played drive the car for a little while. It's surprising what little things can create such good memories. The boys had a blast taking turns sitting on Daddy's lap turning the steering wheel and pushing buttons. It was one of the most memorable days. I was so grateful that it turned out well. It really reminded me of the simple pleasures in life.
